About Human Services Career Network
The Human Services Career Network and HSCareers.com has emerged as one of the premier Human Service niche career sites. The "In the spirit of helping others" operating philosophy is the primary motivator at HSCN. The operating philosophy fuels our passion to develop the most useful tool available for human service professionals and organizations who are working so hard, with limited budgets, to help others. We are very pleased to announce that HSCN has just received additional support that will allow us to significantly improve service to the customers and partners of the Human Services Career Network.
While researching the Internet a few years ago for opportunities to post job openings, we realized there were a limited number of sites devoted to the Human Service profession. We also realized that the few sites we found did not meet our expectations as human service professionals. It was at that point we set out to develop the nation's premier Human Service network devoted solely to the field of Human Service.
Why has HSCareers.com emerged as one of the leading Human Service niche career site?
As Human Services professionals, we are dedicated to our mission by offering a quality employment and human services niche site to assist those who have dedicated their lives to helping others.About Our Core Values
In James Collin's book "Built to Last," core values are described as the fundamental building blocks of an enterprise. They are also described as "what" as opposed to "how." Also described in the book is that core values are a company's enduring uncompromising tenants, a small set of general guiding principles. Not norms, not cultural practices or operating procedures. As visionary companies deeply believe their core values transcend time, core values are ones that we agree not to compromise. So valuable that we would never compromise them for financial gain or for expediency's sake. Human Services Career Network has spent time up front discussing the importance of core values and what our values look like when people engage in them. Four key core values surfaced:
Knowing, Doing, and Saying. Or, discerning what is right and wrong; acting on what we have discerned, even at personal cost; and saying openly that we are acting on our understanding of right from wrong.
Quality itself has been defined as fundamentally relational: Quality is the ongoing process of building and sustaining relationships by assessing, anticipating, and fulfilling stated and implied needs. Having a high degree of excellence.
Service is a system or organization that provides for a basic public need. Service also provides a group of people with something that is needed in contribution to the welfare of others.
Unity is harmony within and among individuals in the group. Unity is sustained by concentration, energy and focusing thought by accepting and appreciating the value of the rich array of participants and the unique contribution each can make, and by remaining loyal not only to one another but also the task.
As Human Services Career Network continues to grow we make this commitment to you: We will continue to provide a quality service that provides unity to our profession. We have built this site for the Human Service professional. Please continue to give us your feedback so that we can change and grow with you.
